Freshman Student Admission Requirements

A freshman applicant is defined as an individual who has completed or will complete a high school degree or its equivalent and has fewer than 12 transferrable college credit hours. The admission requirements for freshman applicants are as follows:

��ɫ�ֿ� requires applicants to attain a cumulative unweighted high school GPA of 2.0 for at least 3 years of study. Students with a GPA just below 2.0 may be still considered for admission on a case-by-case basis. Self-reported information is accepted for most programs but an official transcript will be required if you are admitted to ��ɫ�ֿ�.*
If you took dual enrollment classes at your local community college as part of your high school diploma, you will need to submit transcripts from your community college in addition to your high school transcripts.
��ɫ�ֿ� is test-optional. If you have taken the ACT or SAT we encourage you to send your scores, though these are not required for admission. ��ɫ�ֿ�'s ACT code is 1124 and SAT code is 1666.
Coursework completed outside the U.S. requires a Foreign Credential Evaluation to be submitted.
English Language Proficiency: All international students and individuals who completed a degree program outside the United States are required to meet this requirement.

Though not initially required, a personal statement, essay, letters of recommendation, and/or official transcripts may be requested after initial review of your application.

Transfer Student Admission Requirements

An individual who has completed a high school degree or its equivalent and has completed 12 or more transferable college credit hours. You can use our to see how your credits might transfer.

Submit transcripts from all previously attended post -secondary academic institutions (community college, college, or university). An application can be reviewed for admission with an unofficial transcript but and official and final transcript will be needed at or prior to enrollment. Coursework completed outside the U.S. requires Foreign Credential Evaluation to be submitted.
English Language Proficiency: All international students and individuals who completed a degree program outside the United States are required to meet this requirement.

AP Credit

Advanced Placement (AP) Equivalency Guide and Policy

Students may receive college credit if they have successfully completed AP exams with the minimum score indicated for the subject below; the grade earned is “Pass”. Freshman students must submit official score reports from the College Board to the Office of Admission.

College Level Examination Program (CLEP) Equivalency Guide and Policy

SPECIAL POLICIES

CLEP exam credit from a score sheet will be awarded only after the student completes 12 semester hours with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 at ��ɫ�ֿ�.
CLEP credit can be accepted if the credit appears on a transcript from another accredited institution; and is in subject area normally accepted in transfer.
English Composition CLEP credit is not accepted from the score sheet nor from another school’s transcript.
Only the CELP exams listed below are acceptable in transfer from a score report.
A score of 50 is required.
The grade earned is “P”.
CLEP credit does not count in the 70 hours from a junior college; however, if the course is listed on a junior college transcript, the 70-hour rule applies.
Credit will not be given if the student has attempted or previously completed the course, or in the case of MATH, if the student has already earned credit for a higher MATH course.
Essays are required for American Government and all HISTORY credit. The appropriate department must be contacted to arrange for the essay.
